Join NN for Speaking of Stars, a special event to close the current exhibition, They Shall Have Stars on 4 December 2015, 7pm. The event is a series of readings and panel discussion from leading science fiction writers featuring Donna Scott (Author and Chair of the British Science Fiction Association), Ian Whates (Author and Founder of NewCon Press), Stephanie Saulter (Author of the ®Evolution trilogy) and Jaine Fenn (Author of the Hidden Empire series).
The writers will begin with a series of short readings followed by a panel discussion about our potential future in space and the realistic possibilities (or otherwise) of reaching the stars.
They Shall Have Stars exhibition features artists Agnes Meyer-Brandis, ELK and Cassini Sound, Joshua WF Thomson and Simon Faithfull. The exhibition is a group show looking to Space, to what may be the home for the ultimate human diaspora and considering our relative position and direction. The exhibition is open Wednesday–Thursday 11am–6pm and until 7pm on Friday 4 December, the last day of the exhibition.
