Northampton Arts Collective Ltd is at an exciting time in its development of NN Contemporary Art. We are keen to find people who can support us in our continued growth, are passionate about the impact our work can have, interested in learning and growing with us over the next few years.
The charity is now seeking to recruit a new Chair following Duncan Bisatt’s 3 year term. The Chair will provide both leadership and direction to the Board in developing and delivering a visionary strategic plan to ensure NN maintains its ambitious programme and fulfils its responsibilities for governance and management. The Chair will work closely with the management team, Trustees, studio artists and partners, to generate new capital and revenue opportunities and will take the lead in identifying new opportunities to ensure the organisation’s growth.
The post holder will join a committed and engaged Board who have presided over a successful period of growth and development. To build upon this success, NAC needs to make a step change in enlarging its audiences and income generating capacity.
We are particularly interested in recruiting Trustees with experience in one or more of the following: marketing, property, fundraising, business development and working with young people. Board meetings usually take bi-monthly at NN Contemporary Art based in the heart of Northampton’s Cultural Quarter and Board members should expect to be available for up to two away-days each year.
Trustees are legally accountable for the responsible governance of the NAC as it is both a charity and company Limited by Guarantee. Advisors may work alongside Trustees and the management team to provide specialist input on particular activities and projects, but they are not Trustees. The position is not remunerated.
If you believe you have the drive and passion to make a difference to this ambitious and professional organisation and would like to have an informal conversation with the Development Director and / or current Chair of Trustees in the first instance please email[email protected] or call 01604 638944.
