This week sees the opening of Changing Tracks, a visual and digital art project spanning former railways in the Nene Vally in Northamptonshire (UK), Great Western Greenways in County Mayo (Ireland) and Ruta del Carrilet / Via verda del Baix Ebre Catalonia (Spain).
Artists Aideen Barry, Xevi Bayona and Noah Rose have developed site-specific projects for the three locations. After several months of research and working with local heritage, communities, arts organisations and more, the artworks have been opening to the public in each location throughout 2014. Nene Valley’s compliment of works opens this week and will be on view from Friday 15 August 2014.
You can read more about the project at the Changing Tracks website.
CHANGING TRACKS is a partnership project between Northamptonshire County Council (UK), Mayo County Council (IE) and Consortium Transversal, Cultural Activities Network from Catalonia (CAT) and is supported through the Culture Programme of the European Union.
