And Then… is an exhibition of artwork by recent graduates within a 50 mile radius of Northampton. They work across media from oil on canvas to GIF, concrete floor-based sculpture to documentation from living art experiments. The artists completed their BA (Hons) Fine Art in 2016 from the University of Oxford: The Ruskin School of Art (Alvin Ong), Coventry University (Daniel Smart), Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge (Justyna Latoch), Birmingham City University: Birmingham School of Art (Rebecca Clegg), De Montfort University, Leicester (Shanice Simpson, Robert Wilson) and The University of Northampton (Ikran Abdille, Joshua Robinson, Olive Sanderson).

Artists Kathrin Böhm and Ellie Harrison will be joining NN’s Artistic Director Catherine Hemelryk to have a conversation about their projects that find different ways to work with funding.
The conversation will be online and a link will be available from here on the day.

How to: Art Handling
Saturday 18 February 2017, 12:30–1:30pm
Back by popular demand, a re-run of an art handling workshop and how to pack various media safely for transit. Led by Catherine Hemelryk, the workshop will draw from her experience working for art institutions across Europe. If you have a specific medium you would like to know more about how to package, you can request it in advance by emailing [email protected] and Catherine will include your example in the session.

Crit Group
Saturday 18 February 2017, 2–4pm
For artists by artists, bring your work in progress for friendly peer critique. Crit Group is led by Sayed Sattar Hasan and starts with two featured artist presentations before opening the conversation out to the regular peer critique. Get messy with your baby or pre-schooler in these crayon-fuelled, finger painting sessions. Make sure you wear clothes that can handle paint!

Write Club: CV writing
Saturday 25 February 2017, 1:30–2:30pm
Join Catherine Hemelryk for a session on preparing an artist CV for a portfolio, website or job application. Bring examples of your current CV and a pen and paper, laptop or tablet.

These monthly sessions are for anyone running a creative business or looking to start one. These sessions are led by Tracey Clarke, the first hour of the session is a general workshop and the second hour consists of one-to-one short sessions.
