NN offers several types of volunteer opportunities:
Swarm Sculptures – call for participants
Application Deadline: Friday 26 August 2016 5pm
Swarm Sculptures is a new durational movement installation created by dance artist Lucy Suggate.
Influenced by swarm intelligence as a choreographic process and the body as sculpture, the work will be sited in galleries and other public spaces in Nottingham and Northampton during Autumn 2016.
Based in Yorkshire, Lucy’s practice encompasses an expanded approach to making dance and choreography. Her work is centred on integrating conceptual thinking with a movement practice to produce engaging and articulate work.
Dance4 and NN Contemporary Art will be holding taster sessions for potential participants of either installation on:
Sunday 4 September 2016, 11am at Dance4’s international Centre for Choreography, Space 2, Nottingham NG3 2AR
Saturday 8 October 2016, 11am at NN Contemporary Art, Northampton NN1 1DP
Duration: 2 hrs

Ten-week Gallery Internship Programme
If you are looking to begin a career in the arts, would like to build upon existing experience, or simply would like to find out more about how galleries work, our internship programme may be for you!
The ten-week programme consists of invigilation, de-installation, working with artists and the public, being part of the events team behind the scenes and more.

Curatorial and Events Team Volunteer
For people who have experience of working in the arts, these volunteers help the curator with research and administration of exhibitions and events, as well as assisting the development of future programmes. These are on an ad hoc basis. To apply send a CV and covering letter us via email or post.
For people who would like to help NN but do not have the time commitment for the ten-week programme, or for those looking to assist NN with more ambitious projects. Duties include invigilation, events support, installation and more. To apply send a CV and covering letter to us by email or post.
