About the artist:
Northampton born fine artist, Minnie Teckman, spent many years as a self-taught painter before completing a degree at The University of Northampton in Fine Art (Painting, Drawing and Art History) as a mature student in 2010.
Influenced by her first career as a veterinary nurse, Minnie’s work has a strong foundation in science, nature and animals. Although primarily a figurative painter, Minnie is interested in the abstract quality of materials and how they can be manipulated to create unexpected effects and happy accidents.
She regularly exhibits all over the country and has seen her work exhibited alongside wildlife artist Carry Akroyd and taxidermist Polly Morgan. She is also a member of Network Arts and an Associate member of Northampton Town and County Art Society.
