Filip Markiewicz has been nominated for the LEAP Prize. Work from CELEBRATION FACTORY at NN in 2017 will be on view at the LEAP exhibition at Rotondes, Luxembourg.
The LEAP Prize, Luxembourg Encouragement for Artists Prize, aims to help artists who demonstrate an innovative approach to contemporary creation. Beginning in 2016, the LEAP prize is supported by law firm Allen & Overy. The prize is awarded every two years and selected by an international panel of judges. Following the call for applications and pre-selection process, four candidates will be selected for a joint exhibition. The artist will be awarded a grant by Allen & Overy.
The Rotondes, who are involved in the Young Creation Triennale with young artists in the Greater Region, reinforce the visibility of contemporary art with LEAP and help artists further their careers.
This years panel of judges are; Alexandre Bohn, director of FRAC Poitou-Charentes, Zoë Gray, senior curator at Wiels, Center of Contemporary Art, Brussels, Patrick Majerus, collector in Luxembourg, Estelle Pietrzyk, curator in chief at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Strasbourg and Fabien Schöneich, curator at Portikus in Frankfurt.

The winner of the award will be announced on Thursday 22 March 2018, 6pm at Rotondes.
