Project Space: Neelum Aftab
Artist Neelum Aftab is taking over NN’s Project Space with Conceptual Figures from 23–26 November 2016.
Neelum says about the project:
From Matisse to Henry Moore, generic figures have expressed emotions, groups and situations. Being particularly inspired by Henry Moore figures in war situations, I have portrayed conceptual figures who are surviving in today’s modern world.
Could figures be strictly static and rigid to create abstract art; could repetitive art after Andy Warol, show overlapping to create powerful negative spaces or could Van Gogh’s palette be revived? These are some of the questions I have attempted to answer through conceptual figures exhibition.
If you are an artist or group and want to try something experimental, apply to our Project Space. Details here.
