NN Contemporary Art is celebrating it’s building’s original incarnation as Franklin’s Hotel as part of Museums at Night 2017.
Spend a night at Franklin’s Hotel aka NN Contemporary Art Thursday 26 October 2017, 8pm–8am To celebrate it’s fifth year at Number Nine Guildhall Road NN is launching The New Archive with an opening night that lasts until breakfast! The New Archive features commissions by artists that are part-real and part-imagined. Fragments of previous exhibitions, ideas revisited and imagined histories of NN will be filling the space with work by twenty artists. The opening night coincides with Museums at Night and so NN, for one night only, invites you for a sleepover in the gallery! You’ll need to bring a sleeping bag, camping mat and a sense of fun as artists take us through the night with various activities including artist talks, ghost stories, marshmallow toasting in NN’s Courtyard, film screenings and wide games.
Places are limited and booking essential. Book your ticket here.
Places are booked according to waking or sleeping zones. There are a limited number of spaces for people wanting to go home at 11pm, a set number of Project Space sleeping spots and if you have a tent there are a limited number of camping spots in NN’s Courtyard (bring an air mattress for your comfort – the Courtyard is paved with…gravel!)
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
